A 1-minute mid-back mobility duo aimed at the thoracic spine – the region that stiffens most from prolonged sitting.
The wall thoracic extension uses the wall to encourage the upper back to arch open, addressing the stiff mid-back region directly. Cat cow on all fours follows, sweeping flexion and extension through the whole spine. Two angles, same target.
Thoracic mobility is one of the strongest predictors of upright posture – when the mid-back rounds and stays there, the head and shoulders inevitably follow. Restoring even small amounts of extension here has been shown to improve standing posture measurably.
